Santa Anita Park? Oh, damn. You're freaking lucky! I'd so want to go to these awesome racing spots.. *envious sigh*
Beautiful shot, too. I just love the feel of it, what with the man's expression, and all of the photos in the background.
i think all those photos in the background are what make this shot. yes, the expressuion is good, and the composition is nice. but all those photos in the background make for such a nice "texture" for the entire photo. excellent.
the photos in the background is where the story and the heart of this shot is. I like the trainer (?), his expression and the way he's sitting, but the photos on the wall, the bottles of rubbing alcohol and other medical stuff, and the coffee maker tell of how much work goes into getting these horses to the winner's circle. great capture.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
